How Home EV Charging Works

A Level 2 home charger uses a dedicated 32A circuit from your switchboard to a wall-mounted charging unit. Depending on your EV and the charger's output, this gives 20–40km of range per hour of charging — enough to top up overnight for most daily driving patterns.

We assess your switchboard's capacity (a 32A dedicated circuit adds significant load — some older switchboards need upgrading first), identify the best route for the circuit from the board to the charger location, and install the charging unit at the right height and position for your vehicle. We install and certify the full installation.
